Rules of participation in the Competition Program

GENERAL INFORMATION: select the tab for reading

The Russian Art Week is open for individual authors, creative teams and galleries from any country in the world. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: until March 1, 2022 (inclusive).

Dates of Exhibition: March 8-13, 2022.

Working time: 11:00-20:00

Open Ceremony: March 8, 2022, 17.00.
Awarding Ceremony: March 13, 2022, 16.00

Age of participants of Russian Art Week - over 18 years of age. 

Geography: authors of any country have the right to take part in the Russian Art Week. Participants from Russia and foreign countries have equal rights. 

Number: the author can submit to the competition and exhibition any number of art objects that need to be registered as independent art objects. 

The competition & exhibition: art objects registered for the competition program are exhibited in the exhibition space and automatically participate in the fair program, if the author indicates the cost of the work in the label. 

Official language: Russian and English. 

There are three forms of participation :

1. Art print participation (you send file, we print and exhibit);
2. Artwork partiсipation (you ship artwork, we exhibit);
3. Personal partiсipation (you visit Moscow and bring artwork in person).

 

Professional category: "Member of the Union of artists", "Profi", "Student", "Amateur".

More:

a) Category: "Professional":

artists and masters who work professionally in the field of art, or members of professional art associations / unions.

b) Category «Student»:

students and students of specialized art schools, as well as graduates who have completed training no later than 2 years;

c) Category «Amateur»:

authors who do not have special art education, creating works as a hobby for personal self-realization.

Each of these categories is competing within its category.The Expert Council (Jury) evaluates these categories separately.

 

1) The works submitted to the contest must be the author's works, not copies of other artists. The signature, seal or any other identification mark of authorship in any place of the photo image is allowed. Subsequently, the contest images are published with the author's distinctive signs. Inscriptions with the names of art objects on the front side are not allowed.

2) The competition can be submitted as a single work, and a series.

3) Full-time and part-time participants provide the same set of registration materials: application form, photos of the works and the author, lables.

4) Technical characteristics:

The exhibition accepts two- and three-dimensional works.

- The two-dimensional dimensions of the work can not exceed 75 x 85 inches (192 x 218 cm);
- A three-dimensional artistic work (ie sculpture) can not exceed 72 x 72 x 24 inches (184 x 184 x 61 cm).

For flat products an additional coefficient is introduced: with a canvas size of more than 90 cm and up to 140 cm, an additional payment is charged on the larger side, equal to 50% of the cost. In the subsequent calculation is at each step of 50 cm.

For the registration the contestants should be provided:

- the files of competitive art objects: 100-300 dpi each file, up to 20 MB each, in the format .jpeg or .tiff. The photographic image can contain only a signature (copyright) marks. Names of works on the photo of the contest works are not allowed.

- the label-inventory (label standard 10x6 cm., in the lower right corner, on the front side). The label includes: а) name of the author (co-authors); b) city; c) name of artwork; d) nomination; e) technique; f) sizes; g) creation year; h) the cost of the work (optional).

Full-time artworks should have mounts / hooks for hanging on a vertical panel or mounts and supports to prevent the object from collapsing.

Stage 1:

There are available two methods of registration on the International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Arts "Russian Art Week":

I. First option -    send your data to REGISTRATION FORM
or by e-mail: info@artweek.ru :
   1) application form (download WordPDF)
   2) labels for each artwork (download  WordPDF);
   3) photo of the author (at least 3x4 cm in size, color or stylized);
   4) photo images of contest works (100-300 dpi, not more than 20 MB each);
   5) A copy or screenshot of the registration fee payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Yandex and PayPal.

II. Second option -  to fill out the Application Form on the website - see the "Entry Form"

Stage 2:

The organizing Committee examines the submitted materials and sends a confirmation to the author on the possibility of participation in the Russian Art Week.

Stage 3:

The author pays the registration fees and sends a copy or scan of the payment to the email address of the Organizing Committee.

Stage 4:

The administrator of the organizing Committee sends the registration "Participant Number", which confirms participation in the competition program (the number is placed in the label, which the organizing Committee sends to the author). The number of labels corresponds to the number of submitted art objects.

 

To participate in the exhibition and competition you need:
